Enamored with the historic charm of their classic brick foursquare home, the clients wanted to restore that same craftsman feel to the kitchen, which had been gutted and replaced in the early 2000s. We created a more timeless design, removing the 2x2 textured tile floor and replacing it with simple pine floors. New stained oak cabinets create a rich texture that reflects the historic nature of the house, including a custom pantry cabinet designed to resemble hutches of the time when the home was built in the early 1920s. A new backsplash and quartz countertop balance the historic style with modern sensibilties.
